First Aid

All BMS courses cover dealing with an unconscious patient, choking, serious bleeding and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  The course include everything you would expect from the major providers such as St.John  and Red Cross at a fraction of the cost, in fact will better any other quote for the equivalent course.

The Emergency First Aid course is designed to cover the immediate life threatening conditions leading up to calling for emergency assistance.  It also explains what happens when you make a 999/112 call and how it is dealt with.

The Basic & General First Aid courses cover the above and then other emergencies that are less common.  They also include first aid in the home and how to deal with minor injuries so as not to waste the time of the emergency services.

Appointed Person is a required level of knowledge for administering first aid in the work place. 

First Aid at Work & Emergency First Aid at Work are a Health & Safety Executive (HSE) approved courses for companies with a responsibility to provide first aid qualified personnel.

 Medical

BMS instructors will also visit your location, particularly nursing and residential care homes, to carry out on site training such as Moving and Handling in the environment your workers are familiar with.  You may need staff to be able to administer insulin or other drugs to patients or guests; we can supply this training, coupled with courses of instruction on specific medical conditions such as diabetes and seizures.  The list is potentially endless, so why not contact us and talk through your requirements? The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is becoming increasingly common in the workplace and personnel properly trained in its use are invaluable and BMS can train in house instructors too.

BMS can also offer comprehensive First Aid cover for small sporting and  social events such as parties and fetes. 

First aid

First aid cover at small events is sometimes not all it could be, rest assured that we will provide highly qualified first aid personnel with years of practical experience not just classroom qualified first aiders.  All of our staff have had experience in actual emergency situations, in many cases working for the NHS as ambulance staff and first responders.  They will be able to deal with any situation and take charge should further medical facilities be required.  His is all provided at very competitive rates considering our contemporaries rely heavily on voluntary workers.
